If you ask Penny Williams what she has been doing over the last 30 years or more the answer would be taking care of children. Penny has raised five children, adopted two, and been a mother figure for many foster children. Now, along with caring for her grandchildren, she is the director at Nana’s Little World Child Care Center. Penny is an active member of Benson Baptist Church and has been for the last 30 years. Most of her professional career has been in management in the international hotel reservations industry, providing excellent customer service. Following that, Penny started many years ago with the Westside School District educational programs and a para-educator and after 6 years became the head of the student behavioral facility at Westbrook Elementary School, serving for a total of 16 years. Penny loved it because she was challenged and was helping children who would normally not be served one on one. Currently, she spends her time volunteering in many different aspects including God’s Deliverance Ministries, helping people by transporting and supporting them as well as motivating/managing a friend and up and coming performer and that is just in her spare time. Penny loves God, family, friends, music and to travel. Penny believes that teachers make a lifelong difference in a child’s life and helps to mold their future.
